This theater was one of my early architectural photographs, and as such it holds a special meaning for me. It was in an Alaskan high school which previously had had no theater. The students definitely won with this project. On the walls you can see there are carved wooden panels: the fruits of a project called one percent for the arts. I like the one percent for the arts project because some of the budget spent on the construction of the building will trickle down to the artists who were chosen to create their art based on a submittal process.
