In architectural photography, an entry is important. Aside from the obvious—a means of entry—a building’s entrance is the first view we usually have of a structure, so it should be a memorable one. I couldn’t have waited a day longer to take this architectural photo or else the foliage on the trees would have obscured this stately entrance. The objective of the architect was to have me photographically capture the majestic trees just as they were beginning to bloom. We would see and feel a bit of Spring without sacrificing a clear view of the school’s entrance.
