There are times in architectural photography when less is more and when simplicity cannot be overstated. The time: early morning. The place: a mall yet to open. This Seattle area mall was an older one which had recently undergone an interior renovation. I endeavored to capture the mood and feeling of the place, without people, to showcase the newly painted walls with the bold yet subdued color scheme, the tiled floor, and the accouterments like planters and benches.
