In architectural photography sometimes the natural elements cooperate spectacularly. While photographing several other merchant storefronts in this mall in the Pacific Northwest, I noticed Mt. Rainier was distinctly visible. I knew the mountain would be more pronounced the lower the sun set, so I found my optimum angle, composed the view with a long lens, and waited atop the platform on my van for the light to be perfect. Of course mall security interrupted me.
