As an architectural photographer in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, I frequent many biological and bioengineering laboratories. This area of the country is a leader in biological research, and many companies are modifying their facilities or building new ones. I am fascinated by the scientific method, how data is gathered, stored and compared against other data. Some of the tools are simple and some are complex, but the researchers are all methodical in their studies and experiments.
