When planning an architectural photography shoot, the time of the season can be just as important as the time of day. I am often asked to wait until spring or summer when the landscaping is up and the foliage is in bloom. Waiting for those times would appear to make sense, but many pictures would suffer from full foliage. In this instance, if I were to have delayed my shoot for a week or two, the deciduous tree would have had leaves which would have partially obscured the face of the building, detracting from the final image.
